ort Arthur’s Pleasure Island is an 18.5-mile long, man-made
island that extends from the mouth of the Neches River
on the northwest to the Sabine Causeway on the southeast.
Surrounded by Sabine Lake and the Sabine Neches Intracoastal
Waterway,it’s a perfect getaway for fishing, birding, RV camping,
sailing or walking any one of the Island’s parks and piers.
THE ISLAND DISC GOLF COURSE
The Island Disc Golf Course has been restored to its
Championship layout. Situated just a putter’s throw from
the ship channel, this scenic course offers natural terrain and
frequent views of passing ships and tugboats.
PLEASURE ISLAND BOARDWALK
The Pleasure Island Boardwalk is about a mile of scenic coast at
the end of 600 Pleasure Pier Blvd. It’s near the marina, behind
the condos and offers the best view of Sabine Lake on the Island.
PLEASURE ISLAND PIER
This friendly 275-foot pier and gazebo overlooks Sabine Lake
and welcomes anglers, birders, and picnic goers all year long.

The Pleasure Island Marina is a
300-slip, state-of-the-art marina
on Sabine Lake with access to the
Gulf of Mexico and jetties at 10
miles. Accommodations include
electrical outlets, fresh water,
fueling station, boat launch,
boat repair yard, and spacious
bath house and restrooms.

Fish, crab, play basketball, or just hang out under a pavilion for
a picnic with friends. The lighted pier makes after dark family
fishing trips a summer highlight. Grab burgers and fishing gear
at the nearby Causeway Bait, Tackle with Grill.
PLEASURE ISLAND BIRD BLIND
Port Arthur’s newly built birding site, overlooking a pond of
the former Palms Golf Course, is replete with benches, walking
trails, and plenty of wildlife.
SALTWATER ANGLERS LEAGUE OF TEXAS
Established in 1968, The S.A.L.T. Club is the “The Oldest
Saltwater Fishing Club in Texas.” Join for monthly meetings,
fishing tournaments, and free youth fishing events.
